Static 8%, trailing 5%, trailing 3%, and a $15 micro door
2-Step Standard is 4% daily, static 8% max, 8% then 5% targets, no minimum days, weekend holding allowed on 1-Step, 2-Step, and 3-Step evaluations. 1-Step daily is 3% with a 5% trailing max. Mini Instant trails at 3% and uses a 20% consistency score. Micro challenges start around $15, which is how Maven gets beginners onto a real rule set before they buy the $379 $100K. Platforms are MT5, Match-Trader, cTrader, and TradeLocker. Payouts are every 10 business days at an 80% split.
Trade managers and personal non-HFT EAs are allowed. Martingale, grid recovery, and latency bots are not. Funded accounts layer a 1% to 2% maximum floating drawdown per trade idea, which is Maven's real personality. Two gold tickets that together float 2.2% against the same thesis can violate funded rules while the 4% daily line still shows green. If you start a free Venasri account, give funded Maven a per-idea cap, not only a daily cap.
Zero minimum days is not a one-candle pass fantasy
Because Maven does not make you wait four or five days, a single 8% Phase 1 day is legally possible on 2-Step. The 4% daily line is what makes that fantasy expensive: an 8% target with a 4% daily cap means you cannot take a 5% swing at the number. You need at least a 2:1 shape across ideas that individually stay inside the funded 1% to 2% float cap once you get there. Evaluation may be looser than funded on that per-idea rule, so passing with three correlated 1.8% gold adds can still fail the first funded week.
Daily loss uses the higher of day-start balance or floating equity at 00:00 server time. Same family of midnight math as FundingPips: a large overnight float raises the next day's 4% hole. News on funded accounts sits in a 2-minute to 5-minute window around red-folder events. Size CPI holds as if the per-idea cap, the daily 4%, and the news window can all bind on the same candle.
The funded 1.5% idea cap versus the 4% daily headline
Maven's primary trap is violating the funded single-trade floating risk limit (about 1.5% to 2.0% across combined tickets on the same pair) while the 4% daily limit is untouched. Traders read 4% and size a 2.5% gold stop. The evaluation might survive. The funded account will not. Treat 0.6% to 0.9% per idea as the working band on $100K funded Maven ($600 to $900), so two correlated stops still sit under 2% combined and under 4% daily.
Instant's 3% trailing max is tighter still. A $3,000 trail on $100K that follows peak equity will eat normal gold noise if you size like 2-Step static 8%. Instant also wants a 20% consistency score, so one hero day can stall the payout. Buy Instant only if your edge is smooth and your stops are tiny. Otherwise the $379 2-Step static 8% is the grown-up contract.
Two guards: daily 4% and per-idea 2%
Configure Venasri Equity Guard near $3,250 of daily loss on Maven 2-Step $100K (0.75% in front of 4%). Add a per-symbol floating cap near 1.2% so you never print the funded 1.5% to 2% idea rule. Manual Trade Guard on the ZeroMQ MT5 Bridge should attach a hard Stop-Loss on every fill so an idea cannot balloon from 0.8% to 2.4% on a gold spike.
24/7 MT5 Bot Control should refuse a second ticket on XAUUSD if the combined float of the first is already 1.0%. That is Maven-specific logic, not a generic max-positions switch. Instant accounts need the daily guard moved down to respect a 3% trail, not the 4% 2-Step number. Keep HFT and grid recovery off the account. Maven already said no.
