1.00 lot is correct only at the stop you measured
Daily loss is a fixed $2,500, 5% of the initial $50,000, reset at 17:00 New York. The static maximum is $5,000, so the challenge ends at $45,000 equity. Half a percent is $250. At $10 per pip, 1.00 lot needs a 25-pip stop to land on that number. A 20-pip stop wants 1.25 lots. Gold at $10 per 0.10 move needs 0.50 lots on a 50-pip stop, which is also $250.
Traders blow this size by keeping 1.00 lot and stretching the stop until the chart "looks right." A 50-pip FX stop on 1.00 lot is $500, two units, and five of them are the entire day. The bot desk should compute cash from stop distance times lot, and it should reject the ticket when that product is above $250.
Phase 1 is $4,000, sixteen units, and three days
Phase 1 is 8%, $4,000. Phase 2 is 5%, $2,500, identical to one full daily loss. At $250 per 1R, sixteen net winners cover Phase 1. Three minimum trading days still apply, so the $4,000 cannot be a single news spike even though Classic 2-Step has no consistency score. The score is absent. The 5% day is not.
Two full red days at $2,500 are the entire $5,000 maximum. There is no third day in the life of a book that uses the official line as a working budget. Open a Venasri account and keep the $50,000 card separate from the $100,000 card. Half the lot from the larger plan is the right instinct only when the stop distance is the same.
The $2,500 does not grow because the trade is green
The challenge daily loss stays 5% of the initial balance. A floating $1,500 winner does not expand the hole you are allowed to give back today. Held through 17:00 New York, that winner can reverse on the next allowance and spend $1,500 of a fresh $2,500 before the new session has a plan. Partial it if you want the next day to start from booked cash.
Weekend holding is permitted. A 50-pip gap on 0.50 lots of gold is one full $250 unit at the Sunday open. The two-minute block on opening or closing orders around high-impact news still applies at this size. A stop that slips from 25 pips to 50 pips on 1.00 lot doubles the planned loss and is still legal as a fill. It is just no longer a $250 idea.
Flatten near $2,125, not at the round $2,500
Equity Guard should flatten near $2,125, which is 4.25% of $50,000 and leaves $375 before the official print. Using $2,500 as the exit means the firm is the first one to flatten you, usually after the extra spread. After you move to the Signal Provider account, the maximum trails the end-of-day balance and the static $45,000 floor is retired.
If a funded close prints $55,000, 10% of that close is $5,500 and the trail sits near $49,500, above the old challenge floor and possibly through your mental "I am still fine" line. Update the guard from the latest end-of-day balance. The 1.00 lot habit can stay only while the stop still prices out at $250.
