1.20 lots is $120 per dollar until the stop exists
Gold's contract is $10 per 0.10 move at 1.00 lot. At 1.20 lots that is $12 per pip and $120 per $1.00. A $3 news spike is $360. A $8 spike is $960, a serious piece of the $4,000 flagship day and a third of Endurance's $3,000 day. FX is calmer at $10 per pip per lot, and a naked 1.20 lot major is still $12 per pip while you look for the button.
Manual Trade Guard is the layer that puts the stop on a manual click without waiting for you to reopen the ticket. Bot controls should use the same rule for automated entries: no order is finished until the dollar stop is on the position.
Breakeven and TP1 to TP4 reduce a known lot
The initial stop is the cash risk. Breakeven locks that risk once TP1 pays, so a winner does not become a full loser on the way back. Four partials, for example a quarter of the position at each target, turn 1.20 lots into slices of 0.30. Each slice is $30 per $1.00 of gold. Forgetting the later slices leaves the original $120 exposed again.
Partials are not a reason to start at 2.40 lots. If the unit is $500 and the stop is 50 pips, the gold lot is 1.00, not 1.20. Do the cash math first. Then split that lot. The 2,000 order-update ceiling still applies, so four planned partials are cheap and a tick-by-tick trail is not.
MT5, cTrader, and Match-Trader should not split one idea
PipFarm lists all three. A ZeroMQ style link is one way a desktop app can hear an MT5 fill and push the stop back at once. cTrader has its own automation path. Match-Trader is a third book. Running the same idea on two of them doubles the risk and splits the update count in a way that is easy to lose track of.
Connect the login you want watched. Start on Venasri against that one account so Equity Guard and the ticket tool share a single equity number. A stop on MT5 does not protect a naked cTrader twin.
The ticket stop and the session flatten do different jobs
Equity Guard at $3,250 on a $100,000 flagship account is the session limit. The attached stop is the ticket limit. Endurance adds a kill switch for a single trade past the position-risk limit, which is exactly the naked gold case. You want the stop on the ticket so the switch has less to do, and the guard so several tidy tickets cannot add up to $4,000.
News below Rank 3 still blocks opens and closes in the two-minute window. A perfect partial plan does not make a forbidden click legal. Above Rank 3 the click can be legal and the $360 spike is still yours. Attach the stop before the print, not after the candle that already moved $3.
