12 lots is more than twice a $500 index plan
At $1 per point, a 90-point stop needs 5.55 lots to risk $500 and 12 lots to risk $1,080. A 60-point stop at $500 is about 8.33 lots. A 100-point stop at $500 is 5.00 lots. US30 uses the same dollar per point and typically ranges farther, often 320 to 600 points against NAS100's 220 to 420, so the Dow needs the wider stop and the smaller lot.
Two index trades at the cash open are usually one bet. Two $1,080 stops are $2,160. Bot controls should delay entries until the 13:30 UTC burst has printed a range, then place one stop beyond it, sized to $500 rather than to a lot that looks active.
Scalping spends the 2,000 updates faster than it spends the day
One order change per second uses the 2,000 update ceiling in about 33 minutes. An index scalp that trails every few points through the New York morning can hit that ceiling while the loss is still small. The permission for cBots and EAs is for your own logic, not for a trail that chats with the server all morning. Plan a stop, a breakeven, and a few partials.
Endurance adds the kill switch for a ticket with no stop. A 12-lot NAS100 position without protection can move $12 per point. A 90-point opening spike is the same $1,080, delivered as a floating loss the switch may close at a worse price. Create a Venasri login that counts updates and refuses a naked index order.
The cash open and the data prints are separate events
13:30 UTC is the cash open. US data often hits earlier, around 12:30 UTC. Below XP Rank 3 you cannot open or close in the two-minute window around a high-impact release. The cash open itself is not that window unless a release is scheduled on top of it. Treat them as two clocks. Being allowed to trade 13:45 does not mean you were allowed to trade 12:30.
After the open settles, a 60 to 100 point stop is the structural range. Entering at 13:31 with 12 lots puts the entire $1,080 inside the noise. The flagship day can absorb one of those mistakes. It can absorb three of them only if nothing else goes wrong, and something else usually does.
Cut the index day at $3,250 and flatten the scalp on Friday
Equity Guard at $3,250 stops the flagship session before a third $1,080 loss. Endurance, with a $3,000 day, should flatten near $2,250, which is about two of those oversized tickets. The better fix is not to use 12 lots. A $500 unit gives you seven attempts inside $4,000. A $1,080 unit gives you three.
Weekend index holds need Classic or the rank perk. A 40-point Sunday gap on 12 lots is $480 before Monday's 13:30 UTC candle adds a second event. Flat the scalp on Friday. If a swing profile is allowed to hold, hold fewer lots than the intraday clip, with the stop already on.
