The range is the threat, and the 50 to 70 pip stop is the plan
A $35 move is 350 pips. At $10 per pip on 1.00 lot, that is $3,500. At 1.45 lots it is about $5,075, through the $4,000 day and into the static floor. The working stop is 50 to 70 pips, not the whole range. At 0.80 lots a 50-pip stop is $400. At 1.00 lot it is $500. At 1.45 lots a 70-pip stop is $1,015, about a quarter of the flagship day. Two of those wide stops are $2,030.
If you want the full $35 range to equal the day, the lot is about 1.14, because $4,000 divided by $3,500 is 1.14 lots. That size survives the range once and leaves almost nothing for a second trade. Bot controls should size from the stop you will actually honor.
Endurance has less day and a kill switch
A 3% Endurance day is $3,000. The $3,500 range on 1.00 lot does not fit even as a fantasy stop. A 50-pip unit near $400 is about 0.80 lots, and seven of those losses are $2,800, close to the whole day. The kill switch is the other limit: a gold ticket with no stop can be closed when the floating loss breaks the single-trade cap, which is a worse fill than the 50 pips you meant to risk.
The trailing 6% maximum starts at $6,000 and follows the high. A gold winner that you then give back can lose room twice, once on the trail and once on the giveback. Put the stop on at the entry.
London, COMEX, and the UTC snapshot are three different risks
Gold often sweeps Asia's range around 07:00 to 08:30 UTC and expands again at the COMEX open near 12:20 to 13:30 UTC. Those are the hours a 50-pip stop becomes a market fill. News adds a two-minute block on opens and closes until XP Rank 3. After that rank you may hold the print, and a 40-pip slip on 1.00 lot is still $400.
At 00:00 UTC the higher of balance and equity becomes the next anchor. A $2,000 gold runner held through it can raise tomorrow's 4% line, and a full giveback spends $2,000 of a $4,000 day. Open a Venasri account and decide before the evening whether the runner is small enough to survive that snapshot.
Flatten flagship gold near $3,250
Equity Guard at $3,250 stops a $100,000 flagship session before a second 1.45 lot failure can join the first. One $1,015 loss is painful and survivable. Two are $2,030. A range-through on 1.00 lot, if the stop fails, is the $3,500 outcome the guard is there to cut short on the way. Endurance should flatten near $2,250.
Consistency Mode will also dislike a gold day that makes more than half the cycle. The loss guard does not see that green problem. Cap the session's profit as well as its loss if you bought the mode that scores the best day. Classic can hold the winner and still has to respect midnight equity.
