The target is a count of units, not an afternoon
Dual Step Phase 1 is 8%, or $8,000 on $100,000. Phase 2 is 5%, or $5,000. Three minimum trading days apply, so the $8,000 has to show up across at least three dates. At a $500 risk, a 1R win pays $500 and a 2R win pays $1,000. Sixteen 1R winners, with no losers, are the first target. Real sequences include losers, which is why the count of attempts runs from about 10 ideas if they pay well toward 16 or more if they do not.
A single $2,000 winner is emotionally satisfying and still only a quarter of Phase 1. Four of them would finish the target, and four losses of the same size would finish the $4,000 day in one direction or use the whole day in the other. The $500 unit can be wrong several times on one date and still leave the account in the evaluation. The $2,000 unit cannot.
Put $500 on the ticket before you look at the chart
A 20-pip stop on a major needs 2.50 lots to risk $500, because 2.50 times 20 times $10 is $500. A 50-pip gold stop needs 1.00 lot. A 60-pip gold stop needs about 0.83 lots. NAS100 at $1 per point needs 6.25 lots for an 80-point stop, or 5.00 lots for a 100-point stop. If the structure demands a wider stop, the lot falls. The cash stays $500.
Bot controls should reject the order when the computed loss at the stop is above $500 on this balance. That includes a second correlated ticket. Two $500 gold-and-dollar ideas that stop together are a $1,000 morning, a quarter of the day, from one view of the US dollar. The 2,000-message ceiling still applies if an EA is doing the clicking, and Lightning still needs the EA add-on before automation is even legal.
This blueprint is a Dual Step blueprint
Lightning daily loss is $3,000 on $100,000, not $4,000, and the maximum is a 6% end-of-day trail rather than a static $8,000. Three losses of $1,000 end the Lightning day immediately. The $500 unit still works there, but five full losses are $2,500 and the sixth is the $3,000 print, so the streak you can survive is shorter. Lightning also applies a best-day cap that Dual Step does not. A plan that lets one session make most of $8,000 can pass Dual Step and stall Lightning.
News is allowed while you are still in the evaluation. The funded two-minute window comes later. You can trade the print during the challenge only if the wide fill still risks about $500. A 1.00 lot gold stop that slips from 50 pips to 150 pips costs about $1,500 and has broken the unit even though the original order looked correct. Assume the slip or skip the number.
Stop the day at $3,250 and come back tomorrow
Equity Guard should flatten the $100,000 Dual Step book at $3,250 of daily loss. That leaves $750 before the official $4,000 line, which is enough for one ugly gold spread and not enough to start a comeback. The static maximum at $92,000 is the lifetime floor. You generally meet the daily line first if you keep trading after the guard should have fired. Three minimum days reward the trader who can stop.
The reset is 00:00 ThinkMarkets time, GMT+2 or GMT+3, from the higher of balance or equity. A $2,000 open winner held through that clock can raise the next day base. Partial it if you want tomorrow $4,000 hole to start from closed cash. Create a Venasri login before the evaluation so the $500 unit and the $3,250 flatten exist on the first ticket, not after the first revenge sequence.
