80% and 90% are shares of profit you were allowed to keep
The base split is 80%. The upper split is 90%. On $10,000 of eligible profit that is $8,000 versus $9,000, a $1,000 difference. On the $8,000 Dual Step Phase 1 figure, 80% would be $6,400 and 90% would be $7,200 if that profit were already in a funded, payable state. The evaluation target and the funded paycheck are different moments. You do not withdraw the challenge profit as if it were a scaled payout.
The calendar is bi-weekly. The add-on shortens it to 7 days. Neither cadence rewrites the loss rules. A trader who buys the faster cycle and then sizes up to hit the date is spending the daily line to collect a scheduling perk. Closed profit is what the request can see. A floating gold winner on the morning of the payout is still inventory, and it can still reverse before ThinkMarkets marks the day at 00:00 GMT+2 or GMT+3.
The next allocation inherits the same percents
Capital steps up when you hit the firm milestones without breaching the daily floor. On Dual Step that floor is 4% of the current balance. A $100,000 day of $4,000 becomes an $8,000 day only after the balance is actually $200,000. Until the scale posts, the old dollars are the law. The morning the new balance appears, the half-percent unit has to be rebuilt. $500 was correct on $100,000. It is light on a larger book and heavy if you were already on Lightning math.
Nexus shares the 4% day and the static 8% maximum with Dual Step, so a scale on that path uses the same percent rebuild. Lightning does not. Its day stays 3%, and its 6% maximum trails the end-of-day peak. A Lightning scale that looks at the new balance and then applies a 4% mental model will breach $1,000 early on every $100,000 of equity. Bot controls should recompute the unit from the balance shown that morning, using the product percent, not the percent from the challenge you remember passing.
A green Lightning week can shrink the room you hoped to scale
Dual Step static drawdown stays tied to the starting balance of that allocation. A good week does not pull the $92,000 floor up on a $100,000 start. Lightning marks the 6% trail at the end of the day. A higher close can lift the floor. You can be in profit, inside the 3% day, and closer to a breach than you were on day one. That is a poor week to request more capital, because the next milestone assumes you still have the original distance.
Three minimum trading days still apply on the evaluation that earns the funded book. Dual Step has no best-day cap, so one strong session can be most of the profit. Lightning does have a best-day cap, and a hero day can stall the review that would have led to the scale. The EA add-on, the 2,000-message cap, and the funded two-minute news window all remain in force on the larger account. A bigger balance is a bigger message temptation if the trail edits every tick.
Flatten before you ask, then move the flatten with the balance
Equity Guard on Dual Step should sit at 3.25% of the current balance. On $100,000 that is $3,250, inside the $4,000 day. On a later $200,000 allocation it is $6,500, inside an $8,000 day. Lightning stays near 2.25%, which is $2,250 on $100,000 and $4,500 on $200,000. Copying the old dollar flatten onto the new balance means the guard is either asleep or far too tight.
Open a Venasri account before the scale date so the product, the split, and the balance are stored as one card. Partial large open profit before the server midnight if the next day is the day you want to look clean. The 90% add-on and the 7-day add-on are worth buying only on a process that can repeat a small deficit. They are expensive decorations on a process that needs the whole 4% in order to feel the week counted.
