A 2% day is $2,000 on $100,000
Daily loss is 2%. On $100,000 that is $2,000. The band of $350 to $650 was written so that seven stop-outs are the count in front of a daily limit. On a 5% firm, seven losses at 0.65% approach the day. On this 2% day, the same seven losses at 0.65% are larger than the day. The lower end, 0.35%, is the end that can survive more tickets. Equity Guard should use the $2,000 line, not a 5% habit.
The trailing maximum on $100,000 is $3,000, marked at the end of the day, and it locks at the initial balance. You can respect a small trade and still walk the trail up over several green closes. The lot band does not freeze the trail.
Dollars first, then the contract
Topstep does not publish one lot for NAS100, gold, and a currency in this plan. It publishes $350 to $650 of risk. The contract size is whatever loses that amount at the stop, and the position must be flat before 3:10 PM CT. A 50 to 70 pip gold stop from the gold plan still has to fit the 2% day, inside 0.80 to 1.45 lots on a $100,000 book.
CME Globex order-to-fill limits apply if an automated tool is resizing all afternoon. There is no published count of 200 trades. A CFD trade cap is a different firm's rule. The bot should place the sized stop once and flatten at the clock.
A legal lot can still build an illegal day
The largest winning day on a $100,000 Combine cannot exceed 50% of the target, published as $3,000 against a $6,000 goal. Several winners at $650 of risk can add up to a day that breaks that ceiling even though each ticket was inside the band. Size controls the loss. Consistency controls the win.
Phase 1 is 6%, or $6,000. Phase 2 is 0%. Minimum trading days are two. Create a Venasri account and keep the $350 default for a 2% product. Use $650 only when the stop distance still leaves the $2,000 day intact after more than one loss.
Five days of $200, not five days of maximum size
A withdrawal can take up to 50% of balance after five winning days of at least $200 each. The first $10,000 withdrawn is paid at 100%, then 90%. You do not need the 0.65% cap to make a $200 day. The $99 monthly fee on $100,000 is the subscription, not a risk budget.
Live funded accounts add Tier-1 news flatten windows. Evaluation news is permitted. Either way the book is flat at 3:10 PM CT. A lot left working into that clock is a rule problem before it is a sizing problem.
