Why dragging the stop is a different crime than no stop
A missing stop is a setup error. A widened stop is a decision made after the market has already voted against the idea. Venasri reads every TRADE_TRANSACTION_ORDER_UPDATE on the event socket and tests whether the new stop is further from entry than the stored level. If a buy stop moves down, or a sell stop moves up, that is the detector. The original 0.75% plan is no longer the live risk.
The neuro story is sunk-cost plus pain avoidance: the paper loss has not been crystallized, so the brain treats the extra 60 pips as a postponement rather than a 3.4x size increase. On 2.00 lots of gold, 25 pips is about -$500. Eighty-five pips is about -$1,700. The chart still shows one ticket. The daily limit sees a new notional.
The 3.4x risk jump that daily limits actually feel
Prop daily rules do not care that you meant 25 pips. They care about floating equity. When price accelerates through an invalidated zone, the extra 60 pips is not noise. It is the path from a planned -0.75% scratch to a -3.5% or -5.0% liquidation. A $100,000 2-Step book with a 5% daily cap ($5,000) cannot absorb two widened gold tickets in the same hour.
Unmovable equity floor versus a draggable chart line
Venasri connects to MetaTrader 5 and protects the account with Equity Guard, Manual Trade Guard, and position-size limits. Internal signal rules, model design, and connection details are not published here.
A rule you can keep when the bar is red
Lock structural stops in the bot or in Manual Trade Guard. If you must manage by hand, only ratchet toward price (breakeven plus buffer, then swing trail). Never away from it. If the thesis is dead, close the ticket at the planned R. If you catch yourself hovering over the stop line, that is the 60-second micro-management pattern covered on the impulsive modification page, and it usually precedes a widen.
