A $2,500 winner can push a $6,000 target past $8,000
TradeDay's evaluation target is 6%, or $6,000, across seven minimum days. The consistency rule says one day should not own more than 30% of that target, which is $1,800. Bank $2,500 in a single NQ expansion and the required profit becomes $2,500 divided by 0.30, or about $8,333. You did not breach. You lengthened the test. FTMO asks for $10,000 and then $5,000 across four minimum days and does not publish this formula.
The $3,000 maximum can be an end-of-day trail, an intraday trail, or a static floor. Those are three products wearing one brand. A static $3,000 is the closest cousin to FTMO's static $10,000, at less than a third of the room. An intraday trail will follow an open high the way FTMO's 2-step floor never does. Read the option on the invoice before you size the first session.
Flat into the 4:00 PM CT close, cash after the buffer
The session reset is 4:00 PM CT and the book must be flat before the CME close. There is no FTMO Swing equivalent that carries risk over the weekend. Funded accounts also stop trading two minutes before and after tier-1 releases. The split runs from 80% to 95%, and a withdrawal can be requested from day one once the buffer is met. FTMO pays 80% to 90% starting 14 days after the first funded trade.
The $375 fee gap is the number in the ad. The buffer and the 30% rule are the numbers in the account. Open a Venasri account and write the TradeDay option, the buffer, and the $1,800 day-profit ceiling on one card so a green morning does not quietly rewrite the target.
Five $500 NQ losses are the whole TradeDay day
One NQ point is $20. A 25-point stop on one contract risks $500. Five full losses are $2,500, the entire daily line, with nothing left for a wick. The same five losses are half of an FTMO day and a rounding error against the $10,000 static floor. A 15-point stop risks $300, and eight of those are $2,400, which is the flatten zone, not the ninth idea.
EAs are permitted with a written strategy disclosure and CME message compliance. The platforms are Tradovate, NinjaTrader, and TradingView. FTMO's EA path is MT5, MT4, cTrader, and DXtrade inside 2,000 requests. Bot controls belong on the FTMO login. They will not transmit the NQ order, and they should still be on so the FX book does not revenge-trade the hour after 4:00 PM CT.
Flatten near $2,000 and stop the day near $1,800 of profit
Equity Guard on the $2,500 day should flatten near $2,000. If you chose the intraday trail, also scratch when open profit has already consumed most of the $3,000, because the floor moved while the trade was green. FTMO's 2-step flatten stays near $4,250 and the maximum does not chase the high. Using one alert for both books will either smother the FX account or arrive late for the futures account.
The useful TradeDay session is the one that books under $1,800 and comes back tomorrow. Seven minimum days are enough to build $6,000 from modest pieces. They are also enough to stack three oversized days and discover that the target moved. FTMO will not do that to you. TradeDay will, and the rule is printed as a feature.
