Small ATR, expensive pip, same $5,000 box
2.58 lots lose about $33 per pip. A 30-pip dual-CB candle is $1,000. 5.16 lots would be $2,000. The 32 to 52 pip ATR means you will not get EURUSD-style 80-pip days, so profit targets need 2R on 12 to 20 pip stops, not lottery runners.
connect your MT5 account to Venasri and default 2.58 lots. Equity Guard at 3.5% still matters because $12.90 × a stubbed 5.16 lots through a 40-pip SNB-style European shock is real.
When the insulator is the product
On US CPI/NFP, EURGBP is a valid relative-value book if you had no view on USD. That is a specific intent. Opening it because you are tilted from an EURUSD stop is revenge in a heavier pip.
European session only. After NY lunch the pair is a spread. Dual Thursdays: flat or 1.00 lot with a 30-pip stop you pre-accepted ($387 at $12.90).
Do not triple Europe
If EURUSD and GBPUSD are open, EURGBP is residual risk. Correlation Guard should block the third ticket. Set 12.90 in the Half-Kelly Lot Size Calculator & Equity Guard so flatten math is not using a $10 euro template.
Swing 30 to 50 pips at ~1.55 lots. Intraday 12 to 20 at 2.58. Scalp 6 to 10 only with 0.2 to 0.4 pip spreads in the European morning.
EURGBP checklist: USD-neutral intent, no dual CB, Europe hours
Require a written USD-neutral reason, clear BoE/ECB stack, 06:30 to 11:30 UTC, spread under 0.7, 15-pip-class stop, and no full-size EURUSD+GBPUSD book.
Put that on the Pre-Trade AI Confluence Checklist. Manual Trade Guard attaches 15 pips immediately; heavy pips do not forgive a delayed stop on 5.16 lots.
