Same $10 pip, wider stop, fewer lots
One lot is 100,000 GBP. Pip value is $10.00. A 25-pip stop is $250 per lot. $1,000 / $250 = 4.00 lots. A 30-pip stop is 3.33 lots. A 12-pip scalp stop would allow 8.33 lots at 1%, which is how the morning Judas ends a challenge before London lunch.
Typical spreads are 0.3 to 0.9 pips. Daily ATR is 75 to 115 pips. That extra range versus EURUSD is the entire reason the reference lot falls from 5.00 to 4.00. If your stop is honest at 40 pips, 1% is 2.50 lots, not 4.00.
The Judas is a sizing event, not a story
A 15 to 25 pip fake break on 4.00 lots is $600 to $1,000 if you are on the wrong side, and that can happen before the true H4 move starts. Evaluations that click 4.00 lots at 06:50 UTC are paying for the sweep. 2.00 lots leaves room to be wrong once and still trade the reclaim.
If you start free on Venasri, keep Cable at 0.50% until the 06:45 to 07:30 UTC window is in your rules as a wait, not a hunt. Venasri Equity Guard should flatten if that sweep plus a New York add both go red on the same day.
UK 06:00 data changes the lot before New York wakes up
UK CPI and GDP at 06:00 UTC can travel 40 to 70 pips. A 25-pip stop on 4.00 lots is $1,000 only if you are filled at the stop. A 50-pip gap fill is $2,000. BoE votes and US NFP are the other two Cable air pockets.
Black out those stamps or cut to a 60 to 95 pip swing size at 1.05 to 1.67 lots (0.50% to 1% at 95 to 60 pips). Running Cable at 4.00 and EURUSD at 5.00 into the same NFP is two dollar shorts on one candle.
Size from 1.3000, not from a euro habit
Measure the stop beyond 1.2950, 1.3000, or 1.3050 plus 1.5× ATR, then compute lots = 1000 / (pips × 10). If that is 32 pips, 0.50% is 1.56 lots. Do not tighten to 20 pips to keep 4.00 lots. Cable will take the 20.
Confirm UK or New York session, spread under 0.9 pips, and a closed reclaim after the Judas on the AI Pre-Trade Checklist. Cable lots look small next to EURUSD. That gap is the product, not a problem to fix.
