Daily loss versus a 100-pip Cable day
A 5% daily cap is $5,000. At $10 per pip, 4.00 lots lose that cap in 125 pips. Cable ATR is 75 to 115 pips, so you are one extended day from the floor if you start at 1% and the stop slips. 2.00 lots at 25 pips ($500) is the evaluation default.
connect your MT5 account to Venasri and block new Cable entries from 06:40 to 07:35 UTC. That filter alone removes the session that accounts for a disproportionate share of GBPUSD daily-limit breaches.
06:00 UK prints and the BoE vote split
UK CPI/GDP at 06:00 UTC is a red-folder event with a still-thin book. A 40-pip impulse then a full reverse into 07:30 UTC is common. BoE MPC "dissent" headlines are worse because they hit during London depth and still run 60 to 90 pips.
If your firm restricts news trading, Cable at 06:00 is the example they mean. If news is allowed, your stop still has to be 24 to 40 pips and your size 2.00 lots or less. Do not use an 8-pip euro scalp template on a BoE morning.
Cable plus euro is one dollar bet
GBPUSD and EURUSD ride the same USD wave. GBPJPY adds yen risk on top. Correlation Guard should cap the USD-short basket. If euro is already 2.50 lots, Cable does not get another 2.00.
Run combined dollars through the Half-Kelly Lot Size Calculator & Equity Guard. Equity Guard flatten at ~3.5% daily keeps a slipped Judas from becoming a closed account at the 00:00 reset.
Cable rules that belong in software
No entries 06:45 to 07:30 UTC. After the sweep, H4 aligned, 24 to 40 pip stop, spread under 0.9, figures 20/50/80/00 as magnets not as entries. Blackout 06:00 UK data, BoE, and US NFP.
Put that on the Pre-Trade AI Confluence Checklist and let Manual Trade Guard attach the 25-pip stop on click. Cable funds accounts that wait. It funds prop firms when you do not.
