Clock A: closed balance minus $5,000
2-Step $100K. At 00:00 UTC+2/UTC+3, B = closed balance. Daily floor = B minus $5,000 (5% of initial applied to that stamp). B = $100,000, floor $95,000. B = $108,000 after Phase 1, floor $103,000. The +$2,700 still floating at 23:59 does not become part of B, so tomorrow's floor is not $105,700. That is the no-midnight-penalty clause. 1-Step uses B minus $4,000.
Start a free Venasri account and set Lark to "balance anchor, equity live." If the preset says "higher of balance or equity," you are simulating DNA Funded on a Lark certificate and flattening overnight winners for no Lark reason.
Clock B: equity tags $95,000 at 10:41 and you fail
Same $100K 2-Step, B = $100,000, floor $95,000. You hold 2.0 lots GBPUSD into a UK data print. Floating -$5,200. Equity $94,800. Lark Funding is over. Nothing closed. Midnight never arrived. This is the primary trap in the matrix: assuming balance-based means floating can pierce the daily floor. It cannot.
Venasri Equity Guard at 4.25% ($4,250) is Clock B. It does not wait for 00:00. It polls every 3 seconds and flattens at $95,750 so Clock B never prints $94,800. Size so a planned stop is $450, not $5,200.
1-Step 6% trail versus 2-Step 10% static on the same daily idea
You like Lark because news is allowed. You buy 1-Step because it is one phase. You keep 2-Step gold size. 4% daily is $4,000. 6% trail from $100,000 is $94,000, and it walks. Two news days of minus 2.8% (legal, not confiscated) can spend the trail. 2-Step would still have $90,000 static sitting there. 24/7 MT5 Bot Control on 1-Step should halt new news holds when remaining trail air is under $2,000 on $100K.
3-Step static 5% is $95,000 max, which equals the 2-Step daily floor on a fresh $100K. One 5% day on 3-Step is both a daily and a max event. Do not news-trade 3-Step like 2-Step.
Reset timezone and the Lark bridge
Set the ZeroMQ MT5 Bridge to Lark's 00:00 UTC+2/UTC+3. Guard reads equity live (Clock B) and reads closed balance at reset to display tomorrow's dollar floor (Clock A). If you only stream equity, you will think a green overnight float raised Clock A. It did not, and you will undersize the next morning for a problem you do not have, then oversize into news because you "saved" risk you never needed to save.
Write both numbers on the panel: "Tomorrow floor $95,000 (from B)" and "Flatten now $95,750 (Guard)." When those two ever feel like the same number, you have collapsed the clocks again.
