The open is a candle, not a firm window
The cash open is 9:30 AM Eastern. Lark Funding does not tell you to wait, and it does not tell you to trade it. What it will do is fail a $100,000 2-Step when equity touches $5,000 down, including during the first minutes when NAS100 and US30 whip both sides. Open a Venasri account and decide the skip before the bell, while the rule is still a choice.
The 1-Step day is $4,000. Ten lots with a 100-point stop at $1 per point is $1,000. Four of those, or two if you also take US30 in the same direction, can finish the 1-Step before the opening range is even obvious. The 3-Step maximum is a static $5,000, so one ugly open can be the whole account.
Point value first, then the lot
Where the CFD pays $1 per point, risk is lots times points. $480 is 6.0 lots times 80 points, or 8.0 lots times 60 points, or 4.0 lots times 120 points. US30 at the same $1-per-point assumption uses the identical formula and a different typical range. Do not paste a NAS100 lot onto US30 because the point counts feel similar on the screen.
Equity Guard should see NAS100 and US30 as one book. Two $480 losers in the same minute are $960, not a diversification story. Flatten the 2-Step near $4,000. Bot Control should place the 80-point stop at the fill so a scalp is not a naked market order through the open.
Scalping still has to be quiet
Expert Advisors are allowed. High-frequency trading, latency arbitrage, and grid martingale are not. The cap is 2,000 requests a day. A scalp that cancels and replaces the stop every few seconds through the open will look like the banned speed even when each trade idea was small. One stop, one target, then done.
News is permitted without a 2-minute profit confiscation. A data print that lands near the cash open is still an allowed trade and still a full loss if the stop runs. There is no best-day rule on 1-Step or 2-Step, so a clean opening winner counts toward the $8,000 Phase 1 target. A $5,000 opening loser does not get a second try that day.
Overnight index holds are allowed and expensive
Weekend and overnight holding are allowed. An index position carried into the cash open is already exposed to the whip. The daily reset uses the closed balance at 00:00 and does not punish a floating winner, so a green NAS100 hold does not raise Monday's floor. The gap down still counts at the touch.
The split is 80% to 90%, first payout after 14 days or 7 with the add-on. None of that pays a scalper who needed twelve modifications per minute to stay in a 20-point target. Keep the $480 ticket, skip the first whip if you want, and leave the request counter nearly unused.
