The Test marks the trail at the close
During the Test the 3% trail is an end-of-day figure. On $100,000 the account can trade back from a deep intraday hole and still finish the day inside the trail, provided the hard daily loss was not hit. That daily loss is $2,200. A $2,900 dip is already through $2,200 even if price later returns and the 5:00 PM ET equity looks acceptable. The trail did not save you. The daily loss ended the session first.
The Test target is 6%, or $6,000, and there is no second profit target after it. Five trading days is the minimum. Surviving a scary candle is useful only if the $2,200 line is still intact at the worst print, not at the close. Read both numbers off the dashboard before the open.
PRO follows the low until the buffer exists
After the Test, the funded PRO account changes the trail from an end-of-day mark to an intraday trail until the buffer is built. Open heat counts while the trade is on. A pullback that would have been a footnote at 5:00 PM ET on the Test can step the PRO floor up and then take the account on the way back. The hard daily loss does not disappear on PRO. $2,200 is still $2,200 on $100,000.
The buffer is the firm's own threshold for that trail to stop chasing the high. This page does not invent a second dollar figure for it. Until your dashboard says the buffer is built, treat the live low as the trail. Bot controls should cut size on the morning the account flips from Test to PRO, because the same contract is now a different risk.
A $50,000 book is not half of the $100,000 story in your head
Half of $2,200 is $1,100, and that happens to be the published daily loss on $50,000. The trail at 3% of $50,000 is $1,500. On $150,000 the daily loss is $3,300 and 3% is $4,500. People who pass a $100,000 Test and then buy a $150,000 PRO seat sometimes keep the $2,200 flatten. That flatten is $1,100 too tight on the daily loss, and the trail they must respect is $4,500, not $3,000.
Platforms are NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, and Rithmic. None of them convert the trail into a static line under the start just because the week is green. End-of-day on the Test still ratchets with closed equity. Intraday on PRO ratchets with the peak while the buffer is open.
Arm $1,450 for the day and respect the live trail on PRO
Equity Guard on a $100,000 account should flatten near $1,450 of daily loss, about 1.45%, leaving $750 before the official $2,200. That switch does not replace the 3% trail. On the Test, also watch end-of-day equity against $3,000 under the high. On PRO, watch the live equity against the intraday trail before the daily loss ever gets involved. A guard that only knows the daily number will miss a trail that stepped up after a winner.
The listed fee at $100,000 is $210. It is not extra drawdown. Open a Venasri account and store Test and PRO as two cards. One card marks risk at 5:00 PM ET. The other marks it while the position is open.
