The futures login and the MT5 login are not the same ticket
A stop attached on MT5 does not protect an NQ position sitting on Tradovate. If you trade the evaluation on the firm's platforms, the stop has to exist there. Use the MT5 guard for the MT5 mirror or for a separate book with the same dollar rules. Counting both as protected because one of them has a stop is how a $300 slip becomes a $300 slip plus an MT5 twin.
Semi-automated help is permitted. An unattended high-frequency bot is not. Attaching protection after your click is the permitted side of that line. Automation controls should cap contracts and pause for the PRO news minute. They should not spray entries through 9:30 AM ET.
Four partials only help after the stop already exists
A $500 idea split into four exits is about $125 of profit at each target if the trade pays the full plan. Breakeven after the first partial means the remainder is no longer risking the original $500. None of that arithmetic runs if the initial stop was never sent. The 15-point unprotected slip on one NQ is $300 at $20 a point. On two contracts it is $600, a large piece of the $2,200 day, spent while you were opening the order ticket to type the stop.
Move the stop in steps. A trail that changes on every tick can press CME rate caps on Rithmic and Tradovate even when the tool itself is allowed. Stepped protection is the version that still looks like a person is in charge.
The guard has to know 5:00 PM ET and the PRO news minute
Protection is not only a price. The book is flat at 5:00 PM ET every day. A perfect stop left working through that close is still an overnight position, and the reopen can gap past it. On PRO, the minute before FOMC, NFP, and CPI, and the minute after, is a flat window too. A stop resting inside that minute is a position the funded account should not have.
The Test trail updates at the 5:00 PM ET mark. PRO trails live equity until the buffer is built. A guard set only for price will miss a clock rule, and a guard set only for the clock will miss a $2,200 print at 10:15 AM ET. You want both.
Pair the ticket stop with a $1,450 account flatten
Equity Guard is the account-level flatten near $1,450 on a $100,000 day. Manual Trade Guard is the ticket-level stop and the partials. One without the other leaves a hole: a perfect stop on one symbol does not catch a second symbol you added in a burst, and an account flatten does not scale you out of a winner at four planned prices.
Register with Venasri and connect the MT5 account you actually trade. Store the firm's futures login as its own card so a $500 MT5 unit is not stacked on a $500 NQ unit by accident. The combined idea is $1,000, and two losses of that size are most of the day.
