Build the lot from the stop, then check the doubled fill
Gold on MT5 pays $10 per 0.10, the pip this desk uses, for each 1.00 lot. A 60-pip stop is a $6 move. At 1.20 lots the cash risk is 1.20 times 60 times $10, or $720. The upper edge people stretch toward, 1.45 lots and a 70-pip stop, is about $1,015. Double that fill and you are at $2,030, which is $170 under the $2,200 day and one extra tick from a breach. The $720 plan doubled is the one that still has a conversation left.
The hard day is $1,100 on $50,000 and $3,300 on $150,000. A lot copied from the $100,000 example is twice as large as the $50,000 book can carry and too small to be the whole plan on $150,000. Bot controls should cap gold lots from the balance, not from a screenshot.
One GC on a $6 move is $600, and MGC is the scalpel
Take Profit Trader is a futures desk on NinjaTrader, Tradovate, TradingView, and Rithmic. The XAUUSD lot is the MT5 translation. Full GC is about $100 per $1 of gold, so a $6 move is $600 per contract, close to the $720 CFD example. Micro gold, MGC, is about $10 per $1, so that same $6 move is $60 a contract. Twelve MGC match the $720 idea. One GC is almost the whole unit by itself.
The COMEX open, roughly 12:20 to 13:30 UTC, is where the wick shows up. A planned 60-pip stop that becomes a 100-pip fill on 1.20 lots costs $1,200. That is still inside $2,200 and it has consumed the morning. If you want a second trade, the first one cannot be the full GC.
CFD gold plus GC is one metal bet
Long 1.20 lots of XAUUSD and long one GC is not diversification. On a $6 adverse move you are down about $720 plus $600, or $1,320, before the index complex is even considered. The PRO account trails live equity until the buffer is built, so that open metal loss counts while you wait for the wick to fade. The Test can mark the 3% trail at 5:00 PM ET and still charge the $2,200 day at the worst print.
PRO also wants you flat for the minute before FOMC, NFP, and CPI and the minute after. Gold is the instrument that moves hardest in that minute. Be out before it. A stop left working is a position.
Flatten the day at $1,450 so gold cannot finish it
Equity Guard near $1,450 on $100,000 stops the book $750 before the official day. A doubled $720 gold fill is $1,440, essentially the guard. That is intentional. You get one ugly gold fill, then the session is over, instead of a second GC that turns $1,440 into a breach. The 3% trail at $3,000 is not permission to ignore the day.
The position is still flat at 5:00 PM ET. A gold runner held into the reopen can gap the next daily loss before you have a plan. Open a Venasri account and store the lot cap next to the $1,450 flatten. Change both numbers when the balance is $50,000 or $150,000.
