The step label does not change the loss percentages
A 1-step description and a 2-step description at this firm share the daily loss and the maximum. The flagship path is a futures evaluation with a 6 percent target and no second profit hurdle. People arriving from a two-phase FX challenge expect phase two to shrink the target and sometimes the daily loss. Here the second number is 0 percent. You do the $6,000 work once, under the same $2,500 and $3,000 lines, across at least 7 trading days.
The fee on the $100,000 evaluation is about $165. That is the price of the seat, not a hint about which step is softer. Open a Venasri account and record the drawdown style in the profile. If the profile only says 1-step or 2-step, you have stored the label and lost the rule that can actually close the account.
Static, end-of-day, and intraday change the pass odds
Static keeps the $3,000 floor parked under the starting balance. After you are up $2,000, a giveback toward flat still has the original floor underneath, subject to the $2,500 day if it happens in one session. End-of-day trailing can step that floor up at 4:00 PM CT. Intraday trailing steps it up with the equity high, so a normal pullback from the high can finish a green trade.
If you want the higher pass odds, static is the drawdown that does not punish the winner's pullback. If you take intraday because a contract limit looks larger, you have purchased the failure mode: two E-minis giving back 75 points are $3,000. The step count did not do that. The trail did. Bot controls should size off the trail distance, not off the word step.
Seven days and a 30 percent share decide more passes than the step name
The minimum is 7 trading days, and the best day should stay inside 30 percent of profit. On a $6,000 target that share is $1,800. A $2,400 day raises the profit you need toward $8,000. Two traders with the same step label and different discipline on that share will have completely different pass odds. Two traders with different step labels and the same static floor will have very similar loss math.
Splits after the pass run from 80 percent to 95 percent, with a day-one withdrawal once the buffer is met. That payout difference is worth understanding, and it is not a reason to pick a step whose loss line is imaginary. Both labels still owe 2.5 percent a day. Funded news blackouts of 2 minutes around Tier-1 arrive later, on the funded stage, whichever step you bought.
Use one daily flatten because the day does not change
Set Equity Guard at $1,750 on $100,000 for either label. The official day is $2,500 on both. What changes is the trail behavior beside that flatten. Intraday accounts need a second trigger on giveback from the equity high, around $1,500, so the $3,000 trail is not the first exit. Static accounts can rely more heavily on the daily flatten, because the floor is not chasing open profit.
Be flat before 4:00 PM CT on both labels. A weekend hold is not a hidden benefit of calling the product 2-step. The CME close is a position rule. If a comparison page elsewhere on the internet shows a 5 percent TradeDay day, it is describing a different firm or an old memory. The line in front of you is 2.5 percent.
