Human dragging still counts as server requests
FTMO's 2,000-request ceiling does not ask whether a modify came from MQL5 or from a mouse. Each SL or TP change is a server message. Three changes in 60 seconds is the Venasri impulsive detector. Sixty messages in a minute is how you look like the tick-trailing EAs those desks already banned. Passing the Challenge with that habit just delays the funded review.
Winners also die at +0.3R because the line was pulled in. That expectancy leak is independent of the request cap. You can stay under 2,000 messages and still fail the 10% Phase 1 on clipped runners.
Stay near 80 messages, not 2,000
If you must manage by hand, one modify toward price after TP1 is the budget. A 60-second burst is the strike. Combine it with overtrading above 10 trades and the request tape plus the daily 5% usually fail together.
10016 retries without a modify storm
Venasri Equity Guard still polls every 3 seconds. Micro-management often happens while floating equity is already sliding. The flatten should win that race, not the next drag.
Funded Standard versus Challenge habits
On funded Standard, news is restricted in a 2-minute window. Traders who micro-manage into that window both violate the news rule and spam modifies as the spread blows. Flatten before the window. On Swing, you may hold, but you should not tick-trail overnight. Structural ratchets at bar close are enough.
If Venasri already fired a 60-second strike today, treat it as a lock: no more manual modifies. Let the guard own the ticket until 00:00 CE(S)T.
